Tsujii Nobuyuki, Gold Medalist, Thirteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition

At age 20, Tsujii Nobuyuki, a Japanese pianist who had been blind since birth, won the 13th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (2009). At the preliminary round, he performed all twelve of the Chopin Etudes, Opus 10. Here’s the video of the performance via the Van Cliburn Foundation: Cliburn 2009 Nobuyuki Tsujii.
